Chemical size effect on the magnetic and electrical properties in the ([Tb.sub.1-x][Eu.sub.x])Mn[O.sub.3] (0 less than equal to x less than equal to 1.0) system
Article Abstract:
The effect of isovalent chemical substitution of [Eu.sup.3+] into the [Tb.sup.3+] sites on the magnetic and electrical properties of ([Tb.sub.1-x][Eu.sub.x])Mn[O.sub.3] (0 less than equal to x less than equal to 1.0) system is examined. The results have shown that the increase in the Eu content has increased both the tolerance factor and Mn-O bond distance, leading to the reduction in the octahedral distortion and Jahn-Teller (JT) effect.

[super 11]B MAS NMR spectroscopic study of structural relaxation, aging, and memory effect at the atomic scale in a borosilicate glass
Article Abstract:
[super 11]B magic-angle spinning (MAS) NMR spectroscopy is used for monitoring the relaxation kinetics of boron coordination environments in a borosilicate glass in response to temperature jump. The results have shown short-range structural unit has a one-to-one correspondence with refractive index and viscosity relaxation.

Probing local environments in paramagnetic europium-substituted Keggin solids by [super 31]P magic angle spinning NMR spectroscopy
Article Abstract:
The paramagnetic environments in a series of Eu-substituted Keggin solids are probed by [super 31]P magic angle spinning (MAS) NMR spectroscopy. Results demonstrate that [super 31]P MAS NMR spectroscopy is a useful probe for investigating local environments in paramagnetic Keggin solids.
